What are we about?
We are a grassroots citizen empowerment movement.The individuals that comprise the TEA Party Movement believe in many different views on many subjects.
But..
Why the T.E.A. Party?
The Boston Tea party
was a people's uprising against the abuse of
government power against
its citizens in 1773.
Their motto was:
"NO TAXATION WITHOUT REPRESENTATION"
And while this was part of American history the sentiment is universal.
We have borrowed and modified this saying to reflect citizens frustration with government engorgement and our apparent powerlessness to reduce or even restrict it.

Just as the Australian Flag partly recognises the fact of our British heritage, so too we are partly acknowledging the historical fact of this
citizens’ uprising.
This sentiment doesn't just
belong to the Americans,
it belongs to all of us:
it's universal!
We absolutely require all members and supporters to follow a strict code of zero tolerance for racism, and support the peaceful respect
for the opinions and
freedoms of others.
